So I made the mistake of buying the "throwback" mountain dew. I thought to myself, wow, sick, the old school can -- that's fun. Boy was I wrong.
The old can is cool, but the liquid that fills the can tastes like its from the same era as the graphics on the front.
No offense to anyone who is down with the "natural" sugar, or whatever the hell it is -- I understand that you might have to form an acquired taste for it. I mean, I bet my Dad prefers the natural sugar to the current teeth destroying sugar that makes the Dew taste so sweet nowadays.
But come'on don't think I can't taste the difference... It's pretty obviously gross. The throwback Dew is a trial, according to Pepsi Co. They are going to market the old school can and see how sales go for the next two months and then determine if they are going to bring it back for good.
Good thing you can still buy the other Mountain Dew while the promotion is going on.
